Unalome Reflections: Cagla of Su + Soul | A Yoga Journey of Strength & Flow

A note from Valerie
Unalome Reflections was created as a space to slow down and listen — to the teachers, leaders, and creatives who hold space for others every day. Behind every class is a story shaped by movement, change, and intention.
For our first reflection, we’re honored to feature Cagla, the heart behind Su + Soul, whose approach to yoga blends strength, music, presence, and community in a way that feels both powerful and deeply human.
Meet Cagla
Cagla is a yoga teacher and movement guide whose work lives at the intersection of strength and soul. Through Su + Soul, she has created a modern flow collective rooted in joy, adaptability, and connection — inviting students to meet themselves exactly where they are.
She teaches Yoga Sculpt, Vinyasa, Pilates, and restorative flows, weaving together dynamic movement, music, and intention in every class.
Her Unalome Story: A Journey Across Cultures and Continents
Cagla’s yoga journey began as a way to find grounding while living between cultures and continents. What started as a personal anchor gradually became a language of movement — one that spoke when words couldn’t.
The biggest turning point came when she realized yoga wasn’t about perfect poses or external achievement. Instead, it was about presence and community. That realization became the foundation for Su + Soul: a space designed to help others find their own flow, both on and off the mat.
Like the Unalome itself, her path hasn’t been linear — but each twist and turn has guided her closer to home.
Teaching Style & Class Energy
Cagla’s classes are best described as strength meets soul.
They’re dynamic and musical, intentionally designed to meet students where they are while reminding them that movement can be joyful, expressive, and empowering. Expect to sweat, smile, and leave feeling aligned — body, breath, and mind.
Her approach blends challenge with compassion, creating an environment where effort and ease coexist.
How Her Personal Practice Has Evolved
Early on, Cagla’s practice was rooted in the physical — the challenge, the sweat, the push. Over time, it has softened into something more intuitive.
Today, her practice is about listening.
Some days that means a sculpt class with loud music. Other days it’s slow breathwork, restorative movement, or simply sitting by the water. Less about doing — more about being.
Yoga Beyond the Mat
Off the mat, yoga shows up in how Cagla moves through her life.
Whether she’s leading a communications project, helping brands grow, teaching class, or planning Su + Soul experiences, she brings intention and alignment into how she spends her time and energy.
For her, practicing yoga off the mat means choosing empathy and grace — especially when life doesn’t flow as planned.
A Lesson She’s Carrying Right Now
One of the most meaningful realizations yoga has brought her recently is this:
Slowing down doesn’t mean losing momentum.
Rest is part of rhythm — and sometimes the most productive thing you can do is pause, breathe, and allow space for clarity.
A Sweaty Yogi Confession
In the middle of class, Cagla talks to herself — offering quiet pep talks like “you’ve got this” or “breathe.”
It’s her way of turning the burn into bliss.
Why Supportive Gear Matters
For a long time, Cagla didn’t use towels at all — even while teaching or taking class in 100-degree studios. That changed when she discovered Unalome Yoga.
When your towel and mat stay in place, movement becomes effortless. You’re no longer thinking about slipping or adjusting — you’re free to ground through your feet, flow fully, and move energetically.
She practices with the Harmony Towel and Prana Towel — designs that support both stability and flow — allowing her to drop deeper into her practice with confidence and ease.

A Symbol for Her Journey
If Cagla’s yoga journey could be captured in a mantra, it would be this:
Strong enough to adapt. Soft enough to flow.
Like water, her path has never been linear — but it always finds its way. Through change, challenge, and growth, she’s learned to trust movement and community.
That philosophy lives at the core of Su + Soul: honoring the intelligence of the body, building strength through adaptation, and allowing the soul to keep flowing forward with intention.

A Closing Reflection
Every Unalome tells a story.
Cagla’s reminds us that strength and softness aren’t opposites — they’re partners. That community can be as transformative as movement. And that when we trust the flow, we find exactly where we’re meant to be.
